In our house, we like toys that actually do something, or at least require a bit more interaction than just looking cute. Flip toys fit that bill. I also wanted a super easy, super fast, attention grabbing impulse/add-on item for my craft sale events. Again, this fits the bill.
I am sure this has been done many times over since the dawn of crochet but I didn’t see an easy to follow pattern in English so I just sat down with hook and yarn and winged it from scratch.

Pattern is written in US terminology. Gauge does not matter but tension should be loose to allow ease of turning.
