I’ve found myself accumulating an increasingly overwhelming stash of odd remnants of #4 medium worsted weight yarn in some rather bold colors and I wanted a way to use them in the happiest way possible. My sons and I are obsessed with cats so it only made sense to make the theme of my project be kitty related.
During the course of 2024 I will be releasing a new, unique, free pattern here on this blog every first and third Friday of each month. That’s 24 individual patterns! There will be a kind of crochet along taking place in the public Facebook group Hateruma Handmade Community where questions can be asked and guidance can be passed around. It’s also a great place to see what color choices others are making for their own scrappy cats.
In addition to the free to view and use patterns that will be here, I will also be adding PDF versions to my Ravelry shop as they get finished with testers. That way, people who like to work from printed patterns or those that don’t want to wait for the free versions, can purchase a PDF for my typical very low price which keeps it accessible to everyone.
