Sweet Maggie - crochet pattern The pattern has been tested and all corrections for clarity have been made. In one of the crochet groups I'm in, there was a beginner crocheter asking for some guidance to design a character doll to go along with her children's book authoring debut. Since I'm such a supporter of… Continue reading Sweet Maggie Magnolia

Ad- free PDF on Ravelry I have a two year old in my home who is thirsty to learn all his little preschooler skills. I also have Easter coming up while living in a country that doesn't officially celebrate Easter, so shopping for Easter type of items can be challenging. After designing a pig as my first design for 2019, the year of the pig, I made a couple more to make sure my pattern didn't have any errors. Since I now had 3 little pigs, it only made sense to give them a "big" bad wolf to play with. You can find the pig… Continue reading Big Bad Wolf

There's something almost magical about the savory goodness of cheese. And how cute is this Swiss cheese with its little holes? Maybe you have a little tyke who loves grilled cheese sandwiches? You can make a few slices in some different shades of yellow for him or her to find their favorite. Cheese (yellow) Chain… Continue reading Sandwich Play Set – part six

Ham or bologna, whichever you see this as, it's still a great sandwich ingredient. My 6 year old thinks it's the best treat to open his obento (lunch box) and find his favorite ham and cheese sandwich inside. I appreciate what a speedy lunch it is to put together. Ham 1) 6 sc in MR… Continue reading Sandwich Play Set – part seven

Here is yet another necessary component of a BLT. Lettuce comes in a variety of shades of glorious green. Ruffled and crisp, it adds a delightful texture and freshness to any sandwich. Not just for rabbits, (although it might be fun to feed this to a stuffed bunny friend) play vegetables can encourage kids to… Continue reading Sandwich Play Set – part five

It's a versatile addition to a sandwich fixin's set that can expand the possibilities of creative play into more than one pretend mealtime. What could be better than a fresh, ripe, juicy, red tomato slice adding color and flavor to a deli sandwich? What? Your kids don't like vegetables? Maybe adding a few to their play things will encourage them to look at their veggies a little more fondly. Tomato (red) 1) 12 sc in MR. Sl st… Continue reading Sandwich Play Set – part three

I am a stay-at-home mom of 2 small sons. All of my life I have had a passion for creating things to share with others. It feels like a little piece of me gets spread around to bring joy to people everywhere. My biggest love has always been designing toys. My oldest son, Kenji, is following in my footsteps with that love and dreams of being a toy designer when he grows up. In the meantime, I help him bring some of his design ideas to life.
